"1X Artist Exhibition" (HILTOPIA ART SQUARE), in which our association members, Osamu Hayashi and Takayuki Nakatsuka, exhibited, was a great success.

“1X Artists Exhibition” was the first event held in Japan by 1X (headquartered in Sweden), which is renowned as the world's most rigorous juried art photo gallery, and was held at the Hilltopia Art Square in Shinjuku, Tokyo.

Among the 56 works exhibited at the event, Osamu Hayashi's and Takayuki Nakatsuka's works were selected from among the members of our association.

During the week-long event, there was a talk by 1X founder Ralph from Sweden, a party with sparkling wine served to visitors, seminars and talk shows on different themes by the artists themselves, announcements of award-winning works selected by sponsors, and many other fun events. The event was a lot of fun.

As a result, the event was a great success, welcoming more than 1,000 visitors during the period, including HASEO and other famous photographers and prominent photography organizations.

Osamu Hayashi has long been involved in the preparation of the exhibition, photo book, and sales items, not only as an exhibiting artist, but also as the event's administrative office. "The number of visitors exceeded 1,000. I am happy that all the exhibiting artists enjoyed the event." He said with a look of relief on his face.

The possibility has been raised that this first major art photo event in Japan may be held again in the future, in order to promote and develop art photography in Japan.
